Hell or High Water

What is Hell or High Water?

Hell or High Water is a four man scramble tournament that consistently attracts some of the best players in the area. Over the years the event has grown in size and prizes, with a current potential prize pool of $7000.00 and a skins game in the range of thousands of dollars. The event's unusual name is taken from the fact that it is played rain or shine - and for those November dates on the schedule, this also includes sleet or snow.

To preserve the integrity of the event, all players earning prize money must provide proof of a valid USGA handicap prior to receiving any prizes. The minimum team handicap is 15 and one professional golfer per team is permitted. Professionals will be deemed to have a handicap of zero - any other player unable to provide proof of a valid USGA handicap will be assumed to be a zero handicap. All handicaps will be verified.

Teams are paired by a blind draw. At no time will teams have the option to select the team with which they're paired. Once teams are paired, each team is responsible for keeping the score of the other team in their pairing. Team captains are required to sign off the score card of their playing partners. All score cards will be marked for authentication by the pro shop and provided prior to play beginning.

Ties are decided by a score card playoff. If the score card playoff ends in a tie, the prizes for two places involved in the tie will be combined and split evenly.
